About Us

Debra Vizzi

President & CEO
Debra Vizzi, who has dedicated her life and work to helping those in need, took the helm of the FoodBank in 2015 as the second CEO in the history of the organization. Her passion for helping families is rooted in her personal experience as a foster child in New York City, where, at young age, she was moved from one placement to another and faced hunger. Taking inspiration from a social worker, who saved her from an abusive household, she has spent her career working to provide a “hand up” for vulnerable populations.
A licensed Clinical Social Worker, Debra received her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University and her bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State. In addition to being a widely sought-after speaker on issues including poverty and child welfare, Debra was honored with a 2015 New Jersey Humanitarian Award from CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Monmouth County and received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from Buffalo State.
